Hunter Cook

Hunter Cook is a movement and mobility specialist in Long Beach, CA. He has been personal training since 2008, and also has experience working in physical therapy offices for 6 years. Graduating from Long Beach State with a degree in Kinesiology- focus on Exercise Science- is something Hunter is very proud of, especially with the honor of “Magna Cum Laude.” He primarily focuses on mobility training only, and trains both one-on-one and KINSTRETCH classes during weekdays. On weekends, Hunter travels around the U.S. and around the world teaching the FRC and KINSTRETCH seminars developed by Dr. Andreo Spina.

XPT Breathing Advisor World renowned author Patrick McKeown is a researcher and coach on the cutting edge of optimal breathing strategies. Patrick’s book The Oxygen Advantage was a major influence on the creation of XPT breathing protocols. As XPT Breathing Advisor, Patrick has provided exclusive content along with a number of exercises that optimize oxygen delivery throughout the body; giving XPT participants the unique opportunity to access and apply Patrick’s specialized performance breathing techniques into their everyday lives.

We want to reassure you that you do not have to be an athlete, a triathlete, cross- fitter etc. Our goal is to empower each individual person in finding what motivates them to continue pursuing an active healthy lifestyle once they go home. We all learn from each other and you get out of it what YOU want.

The Experience Includes:

  •   Three Nights
  • Our host Hotel is the beautiful Calamigos Ranch. Each participant gets 3 nights included in this package (the 10th, 11th, and 12th). Checkout is on the 13th. If you wish to get your own accommodations we will deduct $800 from your total price. If you want to come a day or two early and/or stay later we will try to get you a great rate. Just let us know!
  •   Food
  • Lunch, Dinner, Hydration and Snacks are provided. You’ll enjoy delicious, healthy food that XPT members eat to fuel themselves in real life. Lunch and dinners are done family style, as a group. It’s a time to reflect on the day, and connect. Water and snacks are provided throughout.
  •   Transportation
  • XPT provides transportation to and from all events once the experience starts.
  •   Breathe
  • You will learn the nuances and many benefits of our incredible XPT Performance Breathing™ techniques, for optimal fitness and everyday health.
  •   Move
  • You will learn the basic fundamentals of XPT pool workouts, gym training, and high intensity workouts. We will do outdoor activities such as hiking and Stand Up Paddle boarding. You do not need to be an elite athlete to participate. The XPT Experience is designed for adults who are moderately fit or looking to get more fit, or for those athletes who are looking to go beyond and expand their endurance training. Each individual’s Experience is catered personally to your goals and skills.
  •   Recover
  • Here at XPT we practice heat and ice therapy for post-workout recovery. The XPT Heat and Ice Program uses these tools to stimulate your system to promote muscle recovery, for hormone and metabolism balancing, to increase endurance, for easier acquisition of muscle mass, and for a general increased capacity for stress tolerance.
  •   Education
  • XPT is a lifestyle and life is a constant quest for knowledge and growth. During an XPT Experience, we cover topics on human performance, mind-body, daily goals, nutrition, sleep, and tools for managing stress. All of these things can be taken back home with you to integrate into your regular daily routine.
  •   Fun
  • Everything we do at XPT has an element of fun (especially with Laird involved). XPT is centered around the notion of enjoying life.

  • Meet new friends. At the XPT Experience we do everything as a group. You will always be around an XPT team member.

Community Workouts.

During the Experience, on July 12th at Malibu Bluffs Park, there are two workout sessions that are open and complimentary to the community. The first session is our High Intensity Interval Training workout (HIGHX) led by Gabby Reece starting at 8:00 AM followed by the second session Performance Breathing™ led by Laird Hamilton.
